On 28th June 2011 Faith Matters brought together an illustrious panel of speakers for an event at The Penthouse London, to debate the role that young people have in influencing the media, and how they play a part in the 'Big Society.'
Participants were given the opportunity not only to meet with inspiring mentors such as media professionals but also with young leading social entrepreneurs. Discussions involved making their voices heard through challenging media representations.

Panel speakers included :

  • Melody Hossaini, a recent contestant on TV's 'The Apprentice' and founder of InspirEngage.
  • Ronnie Crossland, a participant on Jamie's Dream School.
  • Noam Kostucki, co-founder of Seeducation.
  • Reace McDonnell an ex- member of the Youth Parliament.
  • Lydia Frempong, award winner of Leadership in the workplace.
  • Holly Sutton, Founder and Director of Journalista.
  • Andrew Carapiet a former BBC journalist.
  • Kaye Wiggins, a journalist from the 'Third Sector' magazine.
