Before joining Faith Matters as Project Coordinator for the Developing Diversity Project, Hasina carried out volunteer work with local community groups organising events, workshops and activities for women and other service users from the London Borough of Camden. This enabled her to gain valuable experience of working with members of the community and carrying out development and outreach work listening to the voices of women in order to determine their needs and support, as well as encourage them to achieve their goals.

Hasina has also worked with children and young people in various settings such as schools and colleges providing tuition and support for English, Literacy and ESOL needs.

She has a passion for working with people - especially those from under-represented groups in order to empower them, whether it is providing a voice for Muslim women or motivating teenagers to aim high and aspire to achieve great things.

Hasina previously worked on the Directory of the Most Women Friendly Mosques in the UK and the Our Faiths and Our Shared Futures Programme. She currently works on the Sikh and Muslim Media Monitoring and Response Programme.
